‘Glee’s’ Girl On Girl Action Called ‘Disgusting Gay Teen Sex Romp!’
EXCLUSIVE: ‘Glee’s’ Girl On Girl Action Called ‘Disgusting Gay Teen Sex Romp!’

The episode of Glee which aired on Tuesday, opened with a steamy girl on girl scene between cheerleaders Brittany and Sanatana, and it has people up in arms!

Do you think Glee went too far on their Oct. 12 episode? The monitoring group Media Research Center says the family friendly show has been turned into “a disgusting gay teen sex romp.”
Dan Gainor, VP of Business and Culture at the Media Research Center says based on this latest episode, the shows creator Ryan Murphy “spends his days fantasizing about teen girls ‘scissoring’ on the bed in what the media tell us is a family-friendly show.”

The necking session was pretty brief, but it may have pushed the envelope for the shows 8 pm time slot and young audience — what do YOU think?

2. MRC and Brent Bozo's disdain for Glee is not new
Their misplaced opposition to last week's episode is just dogs doing what dogs do (with my apologies to real canines).

3. Fuck them.
Kids can watch opposite-sex teens make out all the time at 8 pm. Why is watching same-sex couples making out 'worse'? Why, homophobia, of course. Again, fuck the Media Research Center. Hard.

4. They weren't really even 'making out'....
A couple of kisses on the neck was pretty much the extent of it.

who is on a self-imposed 'sex sabbatical', holding hands is making out...:P

6. Kids need to learn that there are same sex couples in the "real world".
I have gay friends and my kids ask questions -- we don't lie to them...no reason to.

11. I hope it becomes a bit like what Hollyoaks did with
John-Paul and Craig. Hollyoaks, a British soap opera, wasn't afraid to push that envelope when it came to the make-out sessions.

On the British tangent, the moronic Daily Mail called the Glee's version of girl-on-girl romp x-rated. I've seen racier scenes on Hollyoaks.

12. I'll have to check that out - Hollyoaks. I've never heard of it!
And...x-rated? WTF? And to your point, I've seen racier scenes on Desperate Housewives and well, pretty much every show on the telly.

I tell you what I really miss - Queer As Folk. The American version - I've never seen the British, have you? Lawd, those scenes between Brian and Justin, and Brian and...just about every guy he was with. Whew! }(

14. Never saw the british version
I think I saw maybe 10 minutes of the American version.. I remember Hal Sparks being in it. I was at BU when the American version was running and people talked about the BU alumnus that was in it, Peter Paige. That's about it. I have heard it's a good show, though.

That Hollyoaks storyline is 2 years old but it's often called the greatest storyline the soap has attempted.

9. couldn't het/GLBT steamy action wait until 9 or 10?
Since when did this start getting aired at 8 PM?

I speak as a mother. I monitor what my kids watch as much as possible, but it helps when these shows are after the average 12-n-under's bedtime, since older teenagers _do_watch Glee and they can't if they have younger siblings anywhere milling about.

It's not the sexes of the persons making out, it's the making out that's gotten a little too risque. OTOH, since a child might wake up one night for a midnight snack, go downstairs, and scroll through TV channels at 3 AM for whatever reason and find the pornographic, women-hating Girls Gone Wild, I guess asking that TV stations wait until 9 PM to play Glee is disgustingly old-fashioned.

10. As a parent, the responsibility for controlling the television viewing
of your children is yours, not the television networks. That seems a simple enough equation. As for me, I've never watched Glee. I probably never will. I have a remote control for my television set. I have no children, but if I did, I would be using parental control capabilities to deal with issues I had with television programming.

It's not about the networks and their programming. It is about choice and freedom of speech. You have the choice. The networks have the freedom.

15. yep, well, you're clearly not a parent
By your reasoning, the networks should have the freedom to show youtube beheadings and gonzo porn all day long. It's all the lazy mothers' fault.

Glad to know what you'd do "if you had children." Puleeze.

13. Did you not, like this Bozo, havea problem with the teen pregnancy last season?
Was that acceptable, but the lesbian kiss is not? With clothes on?

16. I said "het/GLBT steamy action"--het means heterosexual
And who cares about teen pregnancy. Showing the physicality with any gender can be a little too intense to have on when a 10-year-old might be walking by.

I simply would ask that more mature programming not be on network television until 9 PM. That certainly doesn't make me anti-lesbian.

19. Did you watch it? My other point was that it was hardly steamy...
a few kisses on the neck...it was tame...

20. More mature programming...
So let me get this straight.

My programming choices should be limited because your child might walk through the room? I'm going with no on this one. If there's a problem either you choose not to watch the shows or record them to watch while the little one is asleep.

And considering the physicality I've seen on other TV shows this was a non-issue. It was a couple of little kisses on the neck. That's it. No grabbing. No groping. Nothing.

17. Why do Americans continue to remain so puritanical when it comes to intimacy?
I speak as a soon to be father, who looks forward to having an open dialogue with my child about whatever questions they may have about sexuality and the variety of ways it can be expressed, regardless of their age.

Thank the grilled cheesus you don't live in Sweden where commercials have exposed boobies and naked butts at ALL times of the day.

I know my parents wouldn't have had problems with letting me watch it as a kid. I turned out fine.

23. Nice of Dan Gainor to issue a statement, after rubbing his dick
raw following multiple repeated viewings of the "steamy scene"!

Thom Hartmann has this goober on his show regularly; one of the biggest wastes of skin I can think of at the moment!
