These are the kind of people I'm up against. Pleasant Plains is at the top of the paddling list. Nobody is safe where

I'm at. My mother says I better lie low or someone might linch me. She is worried that I will wind up dead somewhere.

2. When I moved here I heard words like fag and nigger. They don't like newcomers either.

You don't even DARE come out here.(hope none of them are reading this)

The only thing I got going for me here is that I'm not black.

(but my best friend is black so that's probably just as bad)

I guess I was doomed from the start. It's even worse for kids.

I can't believe anyone could really believe that there is
