One of Miers' pro-bono clients that Bush mentioned was Exodus Ministries - whose sole purpose is to "cure homosexuals"

This needs to be hammered on by our Senators.

I just read on Americablog, the organization she worked for was Exodus, an ex-prisoner's group, not the anti-gay Exodus Ministries.

I have received word from a reliable source that the "Exodus Ministries" mentioned by President Bush in his speech nominating White House Counsel Harriet Miers to serve as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court is not Exodus International -- which has the tag line "Freedom from homosexuality through the healing power of Jesus Christ."

Instead, it would most likely appear to have been a reference to this Dallas-based Exodus Ministries, which "seeks to encourage ex-offenders, to reunite them with their families, and to empower them to become self-sustaining, productive, Christ-centered members of society."
