There used to moderators who would have started a post to celebrate you.

The thing to remember is that, by DU tradition, when you hit 700 posts, you are in the "700 Club" until you pass 799. This is not desirable due to the Pat Robertson association, and it is desirable to exit the 700 Club as soon as possible. There was a poster named "dweeb" who accomplished this by posting random verses from the Psalms in miscellaneous threads. I kind of liked it in a zen way, but he was hounded until he got the next 100 posts.
