Pastors Object to Harlem Gay Pride Picnic

Some local pastors in New York City object to a picnic planned to celebrate Harlem Pride later this month because, as one church leader says, "God does not want to see homosexuals in our parks."

The New York Daily News reports on the opposition, which includes Dr. Ronald Ferguson, senior pastor at Antioch Church of God on West 124th Street.

"If children start to believe it is okay to be gay, they will think it's okay to be a pedophile or have sex with animals," he said. "It's a slippery slope."

He added, "This gay pride nonsense is an abomination. God does not want to see homosexuals in our parks."

5. Those parks don't belong to god.

If the pastors want parks that belong to god then they need to create parks in his name and then they can have their restrictions. It isn't up to god to decide who gets to be in the parks or not.

Besides, god is referred to as a male, his son as a male, and obviously the holy spirit is a male. Where are the females? Seems to me that they abhor females in his realm.

In the south, white people did not want black people to use public parks, so they defunded all the public parks and created private all-white recreational clubs.

Now up in NYC a bunch of self-described Christians want to keep queers out of Marcus Garvey Park.

...with a separate entrance, of course. That way there'd be no "mixing,"and no one would have to be exposed to the dirty, degenerate habits of "those people."
