Marshall to fed bank prez: take down gay pride flag
http://hamptonroads.com/2011/06/marshall-fed-bank-prez-take-down-gay-pride-flag

Outspoken state Del. Bob Marshall, R-Prince William County, has penned a strongly-worded letter to the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond demanding that he take down a flag at the property flying in recognition of Gay Pride Month.

"A flagpole in front of a federal building is not a commercial or political message board," Marshall declares in the letter to bank president Jeff Lacker.

Homosexual behavior, Marshall wrote, "undermines the American economy . . . shortens lives, adds significantly to illness, increases health costs, promotes venereal diseases, and worsens the population imbalance relating to the number of workers supporting the beneficiaries of America’s Social Security and Medicare Programs."

Officials at the Family Foundation also noticed the flag, and like Marshall, aren't thrilled with the view.

Noting that President Barack Obama recently issued a pride month proclamation, foundation president Victoria Cobb said Obama "has made advancing the acceptance of homosexual behavior a priority that seems to equal or take precedent over working toward reducing the national debt or reducing unemployment."

3. he also claims homosexual behavior is a felony in VA - you gotta read his whole letter
it's a doozy!

I seriously thought, "what century is this again?" - lots of references to morality & immorality.

I do like, however, all the times he capitalized the 2 words "Homosexual Flag"! :silly:

7. It may be a felony in VA. It is illegal in KS and TX still.
The SCOTUS struck down these laws as unconstitutional so they can;t actually do much about it, but if the law is there, then it is still something you can be charged with. Of course, the charges would get thrown out.

4. The Federal Reserve Banks are NOT owned the the government.

The Federal Reserve Banks issue shares of stock to member banks.

The twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks were established as the operating arms of the nation's central banking system. They are organized much like private corporations—possibly leading to some confusion about ownership.

Edited on Sun Jun-05-11 08:44 AM by Evasporque
RICHMOND, VA - Rainbow Flag raised at Federal Building in Richmond today resulted in grown men cowing behind cars and running for cover in the streets. Hundreds of men panicked In Richmond today they scattered, holding their belts tight to prevent the coming onslaught of forced sodomy warned by the bright colors of the rainbow flag. The rainbow flag is raised men are vulnerable to being sodomized by raging mobs of homosexual men. The danger is at its peak in June when homosexuals take to the street in their annual show of sexual deviance and sin. State representatives in Virginia are calling for an emergency prayer session, distribution of testosterone injections and tax cuts for top corporations. Male role model Representative Bob Marshall wrote, homosexuality "undermines the American economy . . . shortens lives, adds significantly to illness, increases health costs, promotes venereal diseases, and worsens the population imbalance relating to the number of workers supporting the beneficiaries of America’s Social Security and Medicare Programs."
