Utah School Backs Down On Gay Rule
http://www.365gay.com/newscon04/12/122204utahDance.htm

Copper Hills High School principal Tom Worlton has backed down on a requirement that LGBT students get signed notes from their parents if they want to bring a same-sex date to school dances. But, the reversal is too late for Jason Atwood.

The 17 year old senior wanted to bring his boyfriend, his boyfriend, Tom Tolman, 15, who attends another school, to a Copper Hills dance last month.

Copper Hills High School Principal Tom Worlton said he imposed the rule because he was concerned for the safety of the boys who might be taunted by others. (story)
