Diane Patrick, labor and employment attorney and wife of Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Deval Patrick, to speak in Onset.

The public is invited to hear Diane Patrick at a salute to the diversity of American citizenry, on Tuesday, August 8, at 7pm at the Dudley Brown VFW Hall, 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road in Onset.

The “Celebrate Diversity” evening is sponsored by the Wareham Democratic Town Committee in honor of the Party’s commitment to encourage full participation in electoral government by all segments of the population. There is no admission charge.

Ms. Patrick is an attorney specializing in labor and employment law and is the wife of the Democratic Gubernatorial candidate, Deval Patrick.

First trained as a teacher, then as a lawyer, she is now a partner in the law firm of Ropes & Gray, where she combines her passion for education and her background in labor and employment law by representing many institutions of higher education, among other clients.

Throughout her career, she has been committed to community activism, serving on many and diverse Boards.

Currently, Ms. Patrick is a member of the Board of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and of the Posse Foundation, an innovative program to recruit H.S. students with potential, who would likely be overlooked by traditional college admissions methods or impeded by external factors from pursuing and completing college careers.
