6. I don't believe the stereotype that bisexuals are |

promiscous. As I said I'm Bi, and have been married for three months.

seemed to imply that bi's are promiscuous. I had no intention of saying that.
I simply meant that I am married and will not be a 'practicing' bisexual any longer.
And I agree that as a group bi's are not necessarily promiscuous.
I have been in committed relationships all my life, except for one period in my early 20's when was in a band and had quite the drug problem.
Thankfully that only lasted a bit more than a year and I saw that I was heading no place fast.

DU is sensitive to bisexuals, correct.

I think you will find that we are well tolerated, but that most people, both gay and het, don't feel comfortable around this issue.

however, i find bisexuals very sexy. and i since i've never been much into monogamy -- we've had good common ground to work out some great relationships.

but have managed to stay monagamous, so far. Our philosophy is that we fulfill each other emotionally and physically more than any other man or woman has or could, we are (finally) secure enough in that knowledge, and if we feel a need to spice things up a bit we'll make it a team effort.
(btw, in case you wondered, I'm a girl, he's a guy)

11. There was a thread on this some time back -- and yes, I'm Bi, too |
|
And in a monogamous homosexual marriage. My wife and I just had our 6th year anniversary.
Prior to that, I was in a het marriage for seven years.
This one will undoubtedly last much, much longer.

Or I was, anyway, if such a thing is possible. I haven't been with another man in several years, but I tend to chalk that up to more of a lack of opportunity and interested partners than a real decision to be monogamous. I'm a bit old fashioned in that I'm not promiscuous and I tend to reserve sex for those I care about, and since my feelings have been pretty exclusively towards my wife since my last real close gay friend moved to L.A., my sexual habits have mirrored that.
My wife feels similarly about only having sex with those you care about, but she's not monogamous. She's been in a long term relationship with another woman for years...I'm her only man, and she's her only woman. Some people get freaked out by that, but I love the woman dearly and would never begrudge her happiness.

Been committed to the same woman for 4+ years, but I've had my share of flings when I was a younger man living in Washington. ;)

Although, I do enjoy being with a woman more than a man. Women are more tender. In a relationship right now. Every now and then we bring in someone else for something different. We have several friends who we get together with.

I'm currently in a threesome relationship with my boyfriend and another woman, all in our younger 20's. Don't know where my boyfriend gets the energy to keep two women sexually satisfied but he can go from one to the other for what seems like hours. We love it!

currently VERY monogamous (were each others' firsts and thus far onlys, if that's a word). We've discussed and are ok with the idea of a slightly more open marriage, but at the moment neither of us is attractive enough for it to matter, lol! We could both stand to lose some serious weight.
