Anyone know the genesis of this derived painting ?

Looks like a photo to me....

of course you know the original is from the famous posed image of the flag being planted at iwo jima...

8. Just noticed in the larger version that there are mountains with snow on them in the

background. Now that I look at it, this could certainly be a photograph.

Hard to tell these days with so many graphics programs available.

6. Don't you love artists?

When they aren't being too hard to live with, that is. I never would have thought to remake the Suribachi photo in a gay theme. I have always thought the Marine Memorial statue was kind of hot.
