I didn't know there was a "Bible of the homosexual movement!"

STRATEGIES OF THE HOMOSEXUAL MOVEMENT: "The Overhauling of Straight America"

The following article titled "The Overhauling of Straight America'' was written by Marshall K. Kirk and Erastes Pill and appeared in Guide Magazine, a homosexual publication, in November 1987. This landmark article has become a "bible" of the homosexual movement, and has since been widely re-published on the Internet and elsewhere. It outlines strategies and techniques for a successful widespread propaganda campaign to confuse and deceive the American people and demonize opponents. Like all propaganda, their methods are based not on solid intellectual arguments, but instead upon emotional manipulation of the public in an attempt to gain widespread sympathy and approval for homosexual behavior.

3. An article became a "bible?"
Hell, I wish the damned Christians had've been so succinct.

Pretty much do away with the 2 hour sermons, wouldn't it?

4. I've seen this for years. I always thought it was legit.
Granted, I haven't read every word of it, so there might be something awful that I missed. But on a skim read it sounds pretty sound.

The problem is, the only ones who have a copy of it are the fundies. So it is suspect. It does explain why everytime the fundies talk abotu the gay agenda, gay folks laugh about not getting a copy.

8. Emotional manipulation of the public?
You mean like when people with crosses protest abortion clinics or puling the tube from Terri Schrivo or scream "victim" when they can't witness in the office or have everyone stop at 2pm every day to pray?

You mean like that?

11. Just like the "Powell Manifesto" savage capitalism's effort against working Americans.
Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 12:14 PM by Democrats_win
http://reclaimdemocracy.org/corporate_accountability/powell_memo_lewis.html

In 1971, Lewis F. Powell, then a corporate lawyer and member of the boards of 11 corporations, wrote a memo to his friend Eugene Sydnor, Jr., the Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The memorandum was dated August 23, 1971, two months prior to Powell's nomination by President Nixon to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Powell Memo did not become available to the public until long after his confirmation to the Court. It was leaked to Jack Anderson, a liberal syndicated columnist, who stirred interest in the document when he cited it as reason to doubt Powell's legal objectivity. Anderson cautioned that Powell "might use his position on the Supreme Court to put his ideas into practice...in behalf of business interests."

Though Powell's memo was not the sole influence, the Chamber and corporate activists took his advice to heart and began building a powerful array of institutions designed to shift public attitudes and beliefs over the course of years and decades. The memo influenced or inspired the creation of the Heritage Foundation, the Manhattan Institute, the Cato Institute, Citizens for a Sound Economy, Accuracy in Academe, and other powerful organizations. Their long-term focus began paying off handsomely in the 1980s, in coordination with the Reagan Administration's "hands-off business" philosophy.

12. Every bigot needs his "Protocols"
and just like the protocols of the elders of Zion", this "bible" 'proves" everything the homophobes think about gay people.

However, I beleive I have heard of something like this. And it did come from the Guide (which is more of a bar mag then anything else)

They did have an article that talked about gay recruitment and forcing straight america to accept hot homo love by law, if need be.

It was published on an April first.

Need I say more?

Would be interesting if one could track this article back to it's source and see if this is the same article.
