Attack of the Process People!!
As a youth, this Baby Boomer saw hundreds of horror and sci-fi movies. The giant mantis, Rodan, mole people, killer shrews, blob...all of which may explain much about me.

Nonetheless, I can't seem to run fast enough to get away from the relentless Process People. Boston is home to a frightening number of them.

In today's Boston Globe, one even admits that he is one of them. Ceaselessly until the Constitutional Convention (ConCon) leaves recess on January 2nd, we shall hear their alternating whines and monotones. Process. Process. Process. You must respect the process.

You're heavier, lighter, taller, shorter, richer, poorer than I. Concepts be damned. What can we measure?

1. I have a friend who run a civil process service business.
Your headline attracted my attention for that reason. It has been a banner year for them with foreclosures and defaults soaring.

On the note you have mentioned metrics are the new mantra for sure. When I was at Dell, I never saw anyplace as relentlessly measurement driven as they were. They tracked every bit of collectible data, no matter how insignificant it seemed. They even kept track of how long people spent in the restroom (I kid you not, 15 minutes personal time a week! In the sea of cubicles it took 5 minutes to navigate to the restroom). Without a the worst job I ever had, they were they most controlling, overbearing, dehumanizing and in the end just low life employer I was ever with-and that is saying a lot! I hate them. No Dell branded apparatus will ever again enter my home.
