LGBT candidate ytraining in Philadelphia
The Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute offers potential and current LGBT candidates and campaign workers various tools that assist their political development. The Candidate and Campaign Training provides trainees with the skills needed to win as an openly LGBT candidate.

The Institute’s next training is February 22-25, 2007 in Philadelphia at the Crowne Plaza Philadelphia Center City. The cost to trainees is $350, which includes four days of training, training materials, hotel stay, and most meals (one dinner is on your own).

Please join me in reaching out to LGBT leaders in your community and encouraging them to attend this wonderful seminar. Top tier political consultants from across the nation will be offering their expertise in political campaigning.

Alumni are active in public life as public officials, candidates, campaign managers and staff, and as leaders in the struggle for LGBT equal rights. Alumni include former Atlanta City Council president Cathy Woolard; Washington State Rep. Ed Murray; Elizabeth Birch, former executive director of the Human Rights Campaign; California State Sen. Sheila Kuehl; North Carolina State Senator Julia Boseman; and Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez.

To find out more about the upcoming training, go to www.victoryinstyitute.org. You may also contact Brett Johnson at 202-842-7304 or brett.johnson {at} victoryfund.org, and as always you may contact me. I am really enjoying my new role here at the Victory Fund and I am excited about working with you to ensure that we have a voice in American politics.
