Anyone else giddy about how Ohio and Texas are turning out? |
|
If you would have told me 6 months ago I'd be supporting Hillary, I'd have punched you in your face.

Glad you figured it out. I have known Hillary for decades - she is a friend to our community. I love her.

3. It's more of a reaction to Obama than anything else |
|
I'd have much rather seen Gore, Edwards, or DK in the race, but I'll take Hillary over Obama.

Clinton is a big supporter but has to be strategic. She listens closely to her gay/lesbian advisors and friends. I know sometimes it seems that progress ain't happening fast enough but honey when you are old like me and have been involved in gay advocacy for almost 30 years just having a discussion about civil unions and gay marriage seems a miracle.

6. Just more dragging on this race... |

Increasing the chance that McCain will win the general, giving us more conservative SCOTUS justices...
No, not happy at all.

7. Not true at all. She is our insurance against nominating someone too |
|
quickly only to see all that stardust disintegrate when McCain attacks him MUCH harder than Clinton has done. She is a survivor, she is a fighter, she does come back, unlike Obama, she has a very thick skin, even when 90% of the media is in love with Obama or McCian and hates her. She is not an ideal candidate, and she was not my first candidate but tonight I love her too.

Well, I am a converted Democrat and I am highly disappointed. Throughout the history of my voting life, I have always been taken aback by the candidates this party puts up for presidential nominee. Obama was my hope of having someone to cast a ballot for in that election. Someone I am excited about and hope finds his way into candidacy. If Hillary is candidate, I will once again be without a true candidate. I will be voting independent. I don't get why people like her underhanded and smarmy tactics and tolerate her brand of politics. It amazes me that people want to look back instead of looking forward. While so many people complain about Obama saying nothing, he has said much on many of the issues (see his website if you don't believe me). Anyway, I will flush my democratic voting card down the toilet for another four years if she gets in and hope that people don't vote for her one more time.... :scared:
Also, this shows me that entrenched dems aren't interested in expanding their party's base but rather running through and using the old guard over and over again. Well, I'm tired of it and my vote will not go in that direction....

Right there with you (I'm really sad I never got the chance to vote for DK, I'm still a huge supporter of his and donated to his congressional campaign). Bizarro world, isn't it? :)

Sorry but I am not giddy. Come November I will vote for the nominee but will not be very happy doing so. I do not believe that Clinton is a friend to the GLBT community but then Obama isn't either so once again I will be forced to vote for the lesser of the evils or to quote the late great Molly Ivins the evil of the lessers. The Democratic party does not support full inclusion for us and that is just plain wrong.

12. Am I giddy? No. Am I RELIEVED? Yes. |
|
All know I am not a supporter of either one. That said, I have to believe that Clinton comes closer to what I want than Obama.
Until Obama repudiates the bigots in his camp and his attempt to pander to them, I will not support him.
Equal Treatment Under The Law. Nothing less.

13. I think it's too late for him to repudiate his bigot pandering. |

If he did it know it would be hollow and out of desperation. My partner is NOT a politico and rolls her eyes at me sometimes when I get excited about politics. This morning she got up and first thing wanted to know what happened last night. Giddy no. Relieved yes.

14. I'll now take a side: Clinton needs to WIN. |
|
I have seen both, and although neither is a saint, neither has Obama shown that he is not a person who will do anything to get elected. That kind of arrogance and ambition is deadly in a President.

I was very impressed with the original group on Dems from the start. I was going toward Biden and was sad to see him bow out. Once it was done to Clinton, Edwards and Obama, I hit the web hard and eliminated Edwards almost immediately. Anyone who opposes the position of a wife and daughter of such obvious character and takes a stand against inclusion is done. Obama is Fluff. After McClurkin, he's gone. So it's Clinton by default, for I shall vote for NO republican. NO NEVER.
