Falwell Hospitalized. Wish him well with an HRC Gift Membership
That's right, I suggest making a donation in Jerry Falwell's name to The Human Rights Campaign (part of "the homosexual agenda.")

http://www.hrc.org/Content/NavigationMenu/HRC/Get_Informed/Issues/Index.htm

It’s the perfect answer for holidays and birthdays. An HRC gift membership makes a real difference in the fight to end the discrimination faced by GLBT Americans.

All HRC gift memberships of $35 or more include a cuddly Equality bear and a personalized gift card with your special note. Don’t forget: a $50 also includes an HRC Cap! (See below for more details.)

# a cuddly Equality bear,
# a personalized gift card with your special note,
# a subscription to our Equality magazine, and
# lots of ways to get more involved.

Contributions or gifts to the Human Rights Campaign are not tax deductible as charitable contributions or as business expenses under IRC Section162(e).

Purchase a Human Rights Campaign Gift Membership for Jerry Falwell:

Show Jerry Falwell that you care.

When you purchase your gift memberships, have your personalized cards (with your own message) and teddy bears sent to:

2. First Gene Scott dies. Now Falwell is sick - who's next, Pat Robertson?
Tim LaHaye? Maybe my prayers are starting to work.

8. The only way I can get any satisfaction out of
Falwell dying is if he makes a deathbed confession that he got laid at the meeting he had with leaders from the gay community a few years ago. In other words, if he would just come out first. I might even consider forgiving him for spewing his venomous vitriol all these years.

Or he could just suffer mercilessly before he dies. I'd get some satisfaction out of that. Unfortunately, once Barbara Olson died, Ann Coulter was there to take her place as the woman who irks me the most.

Do I sound evil or do I sound evil? I wish the homophobes would get a disease that WE could sat they got because they are homophobes. Turn the tables. I'm pissed. Sorry. Just needed to rant and vent a little.

3. Well, with the way HRC is now...
they are probably seeking out members with political affiliations like those of Falwell.

4. Don't sell the HRC short. I think I see their plan and IMHO it's brilliant
But if you don't like The HRC, then try donating to:

The National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce
Gift the Gift of Equality

By giving a friend, family member, or other loved one a gift membership in the Task Force, you are helping to improve the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people.

To win these battles, we need your support today. Please be as generous as you can. Your tax-deductible donation will go directly to support our efforts for LGBT equality.

Donations to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. If you'd like to support direct and grassroots lobbying to defeat anti-LGBT legislation and ballot initiatives, you may make a non-tax-deductible contribution to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Inc., by clicking here.

Or one of these organizations (that don't seem to have provisions for online ordering of gift memberships).

Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders

Funds needed to support efforts
Posted on Friday, June 25, 2004

U.Va. Pride has been very active in helping to educate and inform the University community and the Central Virginia area on issues such as domestic partnership benefits at UVa, the recent passage of the anti-gay law HB751, and has been active in working with Equality Virginia and the state-wide coalition Virginians Stand Up for Equality.

If you are interested in donating in order to support UVa Pride's mission, please mail your check made out to "UVA Pride" by mail or messenger mail to:

But only HRC sends a cute little teddybear with an HRC t-shirt on it.

5. I think I see their plan, too, and it's revolting.
Putting that corporate stooge, Hilary Rosen, who wanted to jail anyone who dared share their music over the Internet, as co-chair of the organization, even on an interim basis, was enough for me to write them off.

I give to local gay causes, such as the Community Center, Callen-Lorde Health Services, and the Hetrick-Martin Institute here in NYC.
