1. I don't recall that Gandalf ever expressed his sexual preference one way or the other.
Neither in the books or the movies.

9. The author of The Lord of the Rings was J. R. R. Tolkien, a man.
I've seen all of the actual movies numerous times and the character "Gandalf" was asexual if anything unless it was something so subtle to go unnoticed by the average viewer.

2. Gotta be some kinda hacker or something...
that just seems silly. Couple months back there were religious whacko's theorizing that Gandalf was gay. It was just plain stupid.

4. The story it links to is about Ian McKellan being gay, not Gandalf
The headline seems to be simple sensationalism, using a homophobic slur for effect.

11. I realize this and "Gandalf" was just a part he played.
I also know that Ian McKellan is gay, so then, if he played Spartacus it would be "Homo Spartacus" I assume. All I am saying is that there is nothing gay about the character Gandalf.

14. You mean all that "Master Frodo" stuff wasn't part of some extended S&M session?
I can't tell you how disappointed I am to hear that.
