It wasn't long ago when those references to LGBT people sounded forced and uncomfortable, as did the crowd reaction. Now it is matter-of-fact, and enthusiastically received. That's a sign of major progress in a short time. Does my heart good.

if I can bring my 70something repuke mother in law to come around to the concept of "human rights" using Obama's own argument (5 years ago) about hospital choices and assets pulled out by relative who hated their siblings, but stripped the gay spouse of inheritance.

she had to agree that wasn't right.

I was still very happy to hear him mention us last night. It was a great speech and a great convention overall. Very promising.
