4. Maybe we need to start "Operation: Fuck You." |
|
Imagine if millions of people yelled, "FUCK YOU" every time they saw a Knights of Columbus, a Catholic "Church" or a Mormon "Temple."
And if I'm not mistaken, it's "protected" speech because political speech can never be labeled "obscene."
But I'm not a lawyer.
Although I am willing to pay a fine if I'm wrong, AFTER I have my fair share of days in court.

5. Technically, adding the right adjective to the end of a good "Fuck You" would help. |
|
"Fuck you" is just speech, and might be construed as 'verbal assault' in a Court of Law.
But add an ADJECTIVE,like "Fuck you, Fascist", "Fuck you, you Nazi", or "Fuck you in the HEART, you miserable little Dubya-loving SHIT-STAIN of an excuse for a human being"....
Political, no?

7. That's a good point. Adding "Nazi" makes it much more clearly political. |
|
But shouting, "Fuck you, potty-mouths!" would be both ironic and confusing.

"Fuck you, pottymouth!"
That's just brilliant. I'm already looking forward to my first opportunity to use it.

9. It's all in the phrasing |
|
"Fuck you" would be active or transitive and might be construed as verbal assault. Use of the intransitive or reflexive, or even perhaps the interrogative, "Why don't you just go and fuck yourself?" might not be an assault, since after all, it is just a simple question

On his Showtime series BS.
Evidently, you can sue someone easily if they call you a liar, because it's slander. However, it's much harder to sue someone if you call them a "motherfucking lying fascist" because it's just seen as obscene and not a direct attack.
