Finally! A place to send Republicans, Mormons, etc...Burundi
Their most fervent wishes come true. It should feel like home to them.

African nation criminalizes homosexuality
(Bujumbura) The lower house in the central African nation of Burundi has passed legislation making homosexuality a federal crime.

The legislation, which must first be approved by Burundi’s senate, is part of a sweeping reform of the country’s legal system that for the first time abolishes the death penalty and creates laws on genocide.

The new law also protect women and children from all forms of violence - especially sexual violence.

Burundi is struggling to emerge from a civil war that has resulted in more than 300,000 deaths since 1993. The provisions on genocide and the abolition of the death penalty are considered part of the healing process, but increasingly, hardliners have blamed many of the country’s problems on gays.

3. Homophobia is the hottest new thing in Africa.
The mood to split Anglicanism over homosexuality is driven in large part (though not entirely) by such African primates as Peter Akinola of Nigeria and Henry Orombi of Ugandi, and lately Mugabe's cronies in Zimbabwe are blaming homosexual conspiracies for that country's hardships.

The Gays are an all purpose scapegoat for people trying to tear churches apart, drive nations into oblivion, and what have you.

5. What total idiots. Gays in Burundi nowadays are like Jews in Germany in the 1930s.
They were blamed for everything.
