Appeals Court Adds $100,000 To Award In HIV Suit
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/04/040505hivSuit.htm

A doctor who disclosed his patient's HIV status to the man's employer will have to pay an additional $100,000 to settle the a lawsuit a court of appeals has ruled.

Nicholas Francies will receive a total of $291,000 in compensation from Dr William Kapla.

Francies had been employed as a manager by Savoy Brasserie restaurant in San Francisco. He was HIV-positive and under Kapla’s care when he took that job in 1995.

have mixed feelings about this one--sounds like the restaurant should be the one to pay, not only the doctor

1. They could probably be sued in a separate proceeding.
But likely the deep pockets resided with the doctor.
