1. I like it
It's an ad for a comedy show, Dave Chappell, right?

3. Yeah. It appears to be Bush's new abstinence (from sex)
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 05:11 AM by TaleWgnDg
program being pushed via "faith-based initiatives" . . . I also note the ad for Newport cigarettes which is a typical ad in African-American neighborhoods . . . more blacks smoke Newports than any other group of American ppl.

All-in-all, yes, I can see where you WOULD be upset. There's a hell of a lot in this photo to get upset about . . . sex education (as abstinence) shouldn't be broadcast on billboards. Instead, sex education should be taught in public schools with condom distribution and with full education about AIDS and "safe sex" !!

What a damn embarrassment this stupid ad is. This so-called "abstinence" federally funded program ($100 million federal taxpayers monies) will only increase AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases as well as pregnancy in teens and 20-somethings. How tragic can it get? Bush and his hypocrisy, again, is demonstrated for all to see.

4. I think it's mean to elicit "Yeah, RIGHT!!!" in the reader's mind
You would think it was sponsored by people who make money off teen pregnancies or something.... oh it is.

5. If he wants to be an engineer, sex WILL wait! LOL
I can't help but see the funny side in what is otherwise a statling level of psy-ops.

("In all seriousness as a comic"-BB) The correlation between learning and abstinence is frightening...

Back to the funny--> Seriously, being an engineer will, stereotypically, portend a serious lack of getting laid.

So perhaps this ad is suggesting that to be a successful engineering student, you should start practicing NOT having sex so you'll be used to what you'll experience in school!

8. Experience has taught me...
its not only in college an engineer will have difficulty....uh, er, "relating" to the opposite sex, but it is a lifelong challenge.

(You know what the difference is between an engineer and an accountant? They are both really smart, both really good with numbers, accountants just have a more "sparkling" personality.)

...with a shortage of engineers.
