We only need 51 Senate votes to pass healthcare legislation, not 60, without using reconciliation |

a fillabuster on the bill that supported giving $$ to various failing banks etc. becsue it HAD to be done quickly and they couldn't risk months of Pub blathering on the Senate floor, but the HC bill is different. HC is a mess now and won't get dramatically worse if it doesn't get passed a few months later. I too would love to see the Pubs fillabuster for a couple of months and see what happens to their public support after that!

2. Real filibusters don't last very long, never weeks, much less months. |
