What it comes down to is that the insurance companies make higher profits when
they don't have to cover everybody. But when the government steps in and says,
that they'll sell them insurance, the insurers scream "Unfair!"

It's because the government can't just sell insurance to the people the
insurers don't want to cover, or the insurers would dump every sick person
into the public plan. That plan would have to be able to cover healthy
people also, and that's what the private insurers don't like.

1. Insurance companies are corrupt and evil.
They need to be brought down.
And they will.

2. I don't think that they purposely started out that way, but
with the way that our medical system has evolved, it has become a necessity to have medical insurance
if you want to be able to survive anything more than a getting a cold or minor office visit.

Medical insurance was once a luxury, now it's a necessity. Unfortunately it's a necessity that
isn't available to everyone.

by ripping off sick people. They bought off the regulatory
agencies in each state, and bought off congress.....
now they become vastly wealthy with no restrictions.
Like the banking industry.

4. They make great profits
when they cheat subscribers out of what they paid for, too, whether by delaying or denying care or rescinding the policy as soon as the policyholder gets sick.

If ever a corporate "person" deserved the death penalty, it's the corporate health insurer.

It's serial murder.

5. You are correct. They cause death and harm to many.

Another corporate entity allowed to harm American citizens
because they have bought off congress.

7. Congress allows companies to kill, maim, harm, rip off Americans
with impunity. Because we have a corrupt congress.
Because they do not know the meaning of being a true
public servant.

8. one pool of people is even simpler and more cost-effective than
the "public option" ideas being proposed. = single payer

We need to educate Americans about the massive benefits of single payer
