Anyone ever tear an MCL? If so please describe the sensation. Please no medical advice. |

1. No, and I know you asked for no medical advice, but I have to say, |
|
drinking the blood of an unbaptized virgin will make you feel much better.

2. Having swallowed a lot of blood in my lifetime, I can't say I'm a big fan. |

8. "My own blood of course." |

Not everyone enjoys masturbation as much as the shared experience.

9. There has always been someone else involved when I have swallowed my own blood. |
|
Either the person punching me in the face or an unprepared doctor and dentist without suction handy. I would say, "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood" but obviously that isn't true.

3. The immediate sensation or the sensation that follows? |
|
I have not had an MCL injury, but I have had at least half a dozen LCL injuries - kind of the opposite number. They may or may not present in a similar fashion, so for what it's worth:
1. knee buckled outward, accompanied by sharp, intense pain directly over the site (of the ligament) 2. on my way to the floor, I had time to contemplate the extreme 'owwie-ness' of that pain and identify the source - so it was a pointed and direct, stabbing sort of pain rather than diffuse 3. the swelling began almost immediately - a combination of the ligament tear and the subluxation of the joint 4. the intense pain subsided quickly (within a few minutes, really), but the swelling caused its own level of painful sensation that lasted considerably longer.
Totally subjective - I'd put the quality of the initial pain at about a 7/8 - the later diffuse pain about a 5/6, depending on whether I tried to actually bend or straighten my knee.
Hope you're not hurting, Dave!

6. I could only describe this as a tearing pain followed by intense burning for 4 hours now. |
|
The joint is still very stable though.

Excellent to hear that the joint is stable, though.
