1. don't look for medical advice from "house" that's just silly.
I like the show. But, some of the medical stuff is just wacky. I'm a hospice nurse and they have REALLY bad misinformation on Morphine and pain management.

just slowed down, become less coordinated and become a little wobbly. But it is parkinsons' nevertheless. She was in her early 70s when she got it.

3. Thanks for answering my question...
but could you tell me how they arrived at the diagnosis? Is there a specific test?

4. I wasn't there when she was given the diagnosis but I have been to the neurologist with
her and he puts her through a written test for dementia (can you draw a clock, etc..) and a whole host of physical coordination tests. She had an MRI but it wasn't until she had an appointment with the neurologist and he looked at her MRI that she got diagnosed.

5. Thanks!
I experienced a little "syncronicity" tonight, because Dr. Gupta did an hour interview with Michael J. Fox this evening on CNN. They pretty much answered all of my questions.

7. music video
I just put together a music video for a friend with Early Onset PD. He wrote this song about Parkinsons several years ago, and had DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery) a few years back. It was very rewarding to be able to put images to his words. It is rather ironic that I put a scene in with a guy tossing a dime to the performer. I was not aware of the Tea Party incident with the guy throwing the dollar at the gentleman with Parkinson's until yesterday.
