5. I find it particularly telling that the author had to include...
...a statement about methanol being unfit for human consumption. Expecially in this context-- the article doesn't say how dense the cloud is, but I'd guess we're talking about something on the order of less the 103 molecules per m3. Pretty thin drinking....

6. I think it's funny that the article specifically says:
"Methanol, an organic (carbon-based) molecule, is a cousin of ethanol, which is found in alcoholic beverages. Methanol is not suitable for human consumption."

They KNEW that the first think people would think was "PARTY!!!!"
