NASA's world wind site now working.
I recommend for those of you who haven't tries this, downloading and playing around with a software 'toy' released by NASA. Its sort of a super atlas. You have a globe, and can zoom out from space all the way down to the level of your lawn. Includes some insanely fun features. If you ever as a kid (or an adult) spent hours pouring over an atlas, I recommend getting this! Their site was down this summer, but they put in new servers and it works great!
