8. Publix Brand - Green Wise - tastes exactly like Soy Silk and is cheaper |
|
I buy plain Green Wise for cooking and for cereal, and then I buy Soy Silk chocolate for the kids, and I like the Latte flavor Soy Silk.

10. another Silk victim, checking in |
|
I finally chilled out with the chocolate Silk but I am currently addicted to their vanilla coffee creamer...
I know they got bought by some huge corporation not too long ago but I haven't looked into what the deal is with that yet.
My favorite brand is Pacific. They make excellent soy and rice milks and also super delicious nut milks. Their almond milk and hazelnut milk rocks.

I think it's the low fat, fortified kind, iirc. Just bought my first-ever carton of soymilk recently and was pleasantly surprised at how good it tastes.

15. Another vote for Westsoy |
|
I just love their Soy Slender Vanilla. Low in sugar and carbs, because it is artificially sweetened. Most soy milk has a ton of added sugar. :(

Just plain Silk, or that new "enriched" kind they have out now.
Chocolate Silk will be gone within a day or two, easily.
I love it!

is also excellent, and at least in California is also sold in grocerys stored along with Silk. I like the rich coffee flavor. I have to agree that chocolate Silk is excellent, pronounced chocolate taste but much less sweet than other soy milks, a more adult flavor. Also much lower in calories than other soy milks for that reason.

27. Does anyone here make their own, and if so, what method do you use? |
|
Do you use one of the machines, or the old soak and blender method? Do you have a particular flavoring recipe? How long does it take, and how much clean up?
I'm trying to cut expenses and purchasing.

My acupuncture doctor recommended that brand, since it doesn't have the bitter soy taste of some of the others.:-)
