PETA's 2005 Sexiest Vegetarian...time to vote.
http://www.peta.org/feat/sexyveg05/
This year it's particularly tough (but it was nice to find out that Carrie Underwood from American Idol is indeed a veg). As a straight male, I'm having difficulty choosing. Sure, if the contest was "Hottest Looking Vegetarian" it'd be easy. Avril Lavigne, hands down. I think that my choice for "Sexiest..." though, would have to be, once again, Alicia Silverstone. Very attractive, yes. But also very outspoken against animal abuse, and very hands-on with rescue and activism. And how can you top this quote from an interview with her by Dr. Drew: "I've gained so much confidence as a woman from figuring out that I don't want to be destructive. I don't want to stomp through the world and be number one. I just want to tread really lightly and not destroy anything. Hopefully, I can try to mend some things. That's my goal." Now THAT is sexy.

Now, were I female (or gay), I'd have to choose Rikki Rockett (only because, strangely enough, I'm not on their list...kidding). There's nothing cooler than a drummer, first of all. Secondly, he's probably one of the MOST active celebrities involved in animal rights.

2. I voted!
Women - Natalie Portman and Chelsea Clinton (despite what all the RW assholes used to say, Chelsea has turned into a pretty good-looking lady)

Men - Weird Al and David Duchovny (don't ask)

I tried to vote but got an error message that I entered an invalid email

It's an AOL address, so that shouldn't have been eaten by spyware?

Anyhow, I would like to vote for Dan Abrams and Chelsea :)

on edit: nevermind :) I went back to try again, and left off my email address. It worked. D'oh me, but keeping this message in tact in case anyone else misses it.

Also, will post link in the Lounge, it's quite an impressive list !

7. OK, for real I voted for M-1 from dead prez
and Nina Hagen :)

Be Healthy by dead prez

It’s all love . . .

I don’t eat no meat, no dairy, no sweets
Only ripe vegetables, fresh fruit and whole wheat
I’m from the old school, my household smell like soul food, bro
Curried falafel, barbecued tofu
No fish though, no candy bars, no cigarettes
Only ganja and fresh-squeezed juice from oranges
Exercising daily to stay healthy
And I rarely drink water out the tap, cause it’s filthy

Lentil soup is mental fruit
And ginger root is good for the youth’
Fresh vegetable with the mayatl stew
Sweet yam fries with the green calalloo
Careful how you season and prepare your foods
Cause you don’t wanna lose vitamins and minerals
And that’s the jewel
Life brings life, it’s valuable, so I eat what comes
From the ground, it’s natural
Let your food be your medicine
No excederin
Strictly herb, generate in the sun, cause I got melanin
And drink water, eight glasses a day
Cause that’s what they say

They say you are what you eat, so I strive to be healthy
My goal in life is not to be rich or wealthy
Cause true wealth comes from good health, and wise ways
We got to start taking better care of ourselves

be healthy y'all
