3. It's kind of rare to see animal defenders represented

in our daily lives, so I always try to support this comic strip writer and get the word out about him. He is nationally syndicated and his comic is in my local rightwing rag every day. It always makes me smile.

5. Lol! That could keep you busy for awhile

I was just happy to see it in my paper as hunting is so popular here. I never could understand the people I know who are so involved in say dog rescue groups, and yet they or their husbands hunt and go to the rodeo. Never could figure those people out. How do they make that distinction in their minds? Would they shoot their beloved dog if they ran out of game to shoot? Would they rope him and throw him to the ground if they ran out of little calves to torture?

Over the 4th of July weekend there was an OP in GD angry over a Boondocks cartoon that depicted a kid joking about blowing up a dog with a firecracker. So we need some pro-animal funnies. :(
