For those that drink beer or wine...
I stumbled over this website recently:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/geraint.bevan/Vegetarian_beers.html

Excellent list of veg-friendly beer and wine. Though, some may not purchase from certain companies due to their practices (I won't buy Anheuser-Busch, etc), this list is good as to the products available.

Thankfully, the Heineken family is a-ok.

3. I had no idea that beer wasn't veggie
I don't drink it so I never even thought to think about it :P

Looks like wine is more likely to be veggie, which is good, because I drink that a lot. :D

4. Woo-hoo! So my Miller is okay!
(sitting here drinking a 40 of Miller High Life)

The Guiness thing sounds sort of picky, though. It "might" have come in contact with unrelated animal matter. It's going to take me a lot to give up my Guiness.

6. Well...sort of...
Here's the 6 degrees...

Miller is a Phillip Morris company. PM owns Miller and Kraft. PM still tests (as far as I know) it's cigs on animals. So...

7. Damn it.
You should generally be safe with microbrews. The fact that the same company makes cigarettes, cheese, beer, and shampoo means that you're going to be putting your money into something unethical.

I wish I hadn't moved to the suburbs...there used to be this little corner market back in the city where they sold pretty much nothing but microbrews.

5. Also, German Beers are usually safe as long at they follow...
...the German Beer Purity Law of 1516, which says that only natural, and vegetable ingredients can be used. Also, some other Czech and other European beers also abide by this law, and the ones that do, usually state it on the bottle. Some American breweries do not follow the German purity laws regarding artificial ingredients such as coloring or flavor inhancements.
