H2S Sympathy Thread
Sparkly says you finally got the tooth pulled and are feeling poorly. I'm so sorry! It's a traumatic thing to have one of your teeth removed so please take care of yourself, take it easy and don't eat or drink things that are either very cold or very hot.

I hope Sparkly can come up with some ideas that are easy for you to eat but still tempt your palate. It should just take a few deays until you start feeling back to normal.

In the meantime, loads of hugs and comfort for you

1. No cigarettes and no liquids through straws
but basically, if you can tolerate it, you can eat it.

Cold foods are probably better the first day (they reduce inflammation and swelling), but there's no real restriction on warm stuff.

Been there, done that, got the stitches and the mouthful of gauze and the teabag to chew on to stop the bleeding.

4. Take all the pain pills you can handle
and just float above your bed during recovery. Food, for once, can wait.

Hope you feel better soon, Mr. H2S.

I'm feelin' pretty good this morning. I'm still not ready to eat popcorn, but that'll come soon enough.

In celebration of my regained oral function, I'm prolly gunna make some home made cavatelli this afternoon. A nice tuna ragout to over it and it'll be a real meal!

But most off .... you guys.

Thanks!

10. Feel Better Soon
Mouth pain is NO fun. Unfortunately, I know, I headed to the dentist next week for a root canal on one of my molars.

11. I'll send ya some mush .... we have extra!
:)

I had the work done on Thursday morning. I was pretty crappy the rest of the day. But by midday Saturday, I felt better. Today, I feel fine. I'm still favoring the site of the work, to be sure, but that's the worst of it.

I've also had root canals. My recollection is they have less recovery time, but I can't say for sure cuz its been a while.
