Apples (Smeagol likes them raaaaaw!) |
|
I haven't eaten a red delicious in ten years, I bet. I love munching on other apples such as pink lady for sweetness and crispness.
Today I tried a yellow Heritage apple. Slightly crisp, slightly soft, a little tang, but a real bang of apple flavor! I recommend them for a serving tray.

Lovely apples. Thin skin, crisp, a little sweet, a little tart. Soft rose fragrance and a hint of pear back in the back of the throat. (Yeah, that wine class comes in handy... it's just the beverage I dislike.)
The only bad thing is they run about 12-16 ounces EACH. They're freakin' huge.

These were the most expensive ones...in Seattle store they were $2.00 a pound, but they were the juiciest, sweetest apple I had.
I too, haven't intentionally eaten the Red Delicious. They are the blandest apple variety around. No flavor whatsoever
Edited to fix description..
