Peach (or apple) crisp recipe?
I can't seem to find this really simple and good recipe, and it's probably easy to improvise, but figured I'd ask here before I do that.

The ingredients are basically:

butter
oats
brown sugar
(white sugar?)
flour
fruit (apple or peach are best)

You put the fruit in a dish and top with the crumbled oat-sugar-flour mixture and bake and it is amazingly good with vanilla ice cream, or plain for that matter.

Peaches are in season and I think I need to make this soon

So, anyone have an "actual" recipe for this?

2. Thanks, that's basically it
Agree about the peach cobbler, just tried a new easy recipe last week, and it got me thinking about the oat crisp one.

Now I'm wondering if I just add some oats to the peach cobbler recipe if it will be a happy medium... will try with next batch of peaches

3. You'll want cinnamon and nutmeg for the apples
I don't think I've ever used a recipe for this, just gone by handfuls until the texture is right, then thrown it over the fruit and shoved it into the oven.

I dont' use white sugar for it, too bland for my taste.
