Supper tonight is Bangers and Mash
real Irish sausages I picked up at Trader Joe's today, some onion marmalade and mashed taters with real butter and cream and gravy.

My hubby does not know it yet, but it will be what awaits him after a LONG day working (he owns his own business, and is the only employee...everyone can guess how many hours he puts in...it is a service industry company and we do not believe in penalizing people because it is the weekend and that is when their garage door breaks by refusing to come out until Monday or charging extra...PEOPLE LOVE US and all we are doing is sticking to our principles)

He will be excited...simple, good, hot food. He works hard, and...
I love him.

3. You know, with the kinds of threads going on in GDP (ugg I need a shower)
I was wondering if anyone would think I was playing housewife.

Thanks for understanding what I was saying...my hubby is a good guy and deserves good food that he likes (I am sorry I will never, ever again try to convince him that caramelized brussel sprouts can be good)

Not because I am a woman, but because he is working like a maniac and is a great guy.

You can see it in his eyes when he gets something like sausage or red meat or bacon...poor guy, we otherwise live in chicken and once in a great while pork...or simply complex carbs and veggies and no meat at all...so seeing the delight in his face when he gets some [perfectly browned sausages with onion gravy on top of taters...it will be worth every second...(smells good too it is about done, just waiting on him)

7. Well,
I perfectly understand. I'm very housewifey when it comes to cooking because I love to do it and my husband is an appreciative eater. So no explanations or apologies necessary.

Odd that you mention caramelized Brussels sprouts. I made them one night by accident (left them a little too long) and my husband loved them that way.

4. Thank you...
food can be love if done right and not as a substitute

Plus, it is so much fun to see someone eat until they are sleepy (and he deserves a nap too) because it is food they like on a soon to be cold winter's eve (high wind warnings for us this evening, nut it was sunny and in the 50's today in Ohio...ANOTHER warm winter so far, but tonight we will be freezing for the next 1-2..;.sub zero wind chills)

Thanks again.

6. Trader Joes has bangers????
I love bangers. They're horribly unhealthy, but I do love them.
