2. The range hood is nothing but standing seamed copper.

Hand tongs, ruby fluid, silver solder to seal joints from the inside. Straight snips and a t square.
Even if you had to buy everything new, even a fan kit - you could make this hood for far less than the $2000 in the ad. I did fabrication work for years, this is a lot simpler than you would think.
