...... fart"

Only Tony Bourdain could get away with saying this on teevee as he visits a hot spring in The Azores on "No Reservations".

7. You know,
there are lots of shows you can watch online. I never see "Gray's Anatomy," but I like the show, so I just watch full episodes at the abc.com site.

I found this - http://www.forfreedownloads.com/2008/12/man-v-food-season-1-episode-2.html - for Man v. Food.

And, what looks even better, is this - http://tinyurl.com/cfrftm

How did we ever live without google and youtube?

2. You've still got time to edit and take that out of the subject line.
I sooo do not want to read that on the front page.

3. Am I the only one
who finds him annoying, uninteresting, self-indulgent, and boring?

4. He hit me that way at first, but the more you see, the more there is to see
Some of his shows are really amazing. There a lot going on behind the facade.

5. I liked his first book,
and my cousin, the restauranteur, swears by him. But he puts me off.

I think it's time to give him another chance. Maybe he looks different to me now.

The guy who's really got me is Adam Richman, on "Man v. Food." That show had me immediately. He's very smart and very funny, but he really, really loves food, it's obvious.

Ah, food. The only thing that everything in existence requires. How can people NOT be obsessed by it?

Thanks.

6. If you can, find Bourdains shows in Beirut and Mexico
Actually, almost any of the shows in his last series on the travel channel will illustrate what I'm not saying very well. :) I think he's grown up a lot over the last 10 years.

We stopped cable before Man v Food show started. I'll have to check him out!

8. He is able to laugh at himself
especially in his books, and that is his saving grace.

His blogs during last year's "Top Chef" were also a wonderful read.

11. that was a beautiful episode
One of our house teenagers had never heard of the Azores before watching, and became extremely excited about the place, putting it at the top of his post-graduation travel list (economy allowing him to get a job, of course).

I enjoyed it very much, too. That remote place where they ate cockles and limpets was amazing. The end of the world place, he said.
