NBC 86-es Chopping Block

NBC 86-es Chopping Block
By Joyce Eng Fri Mar 27, 10:24 AM PDT

NBC has cut Chopping Block from its schedule after three episodes due to low ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The cooking reality competition series, headlined by chef Marco Pierre White, opened to an anemic 3.8 million viewers on March 11, and the news just got worse from there. This week's episode plunged to a mere 2.6 million.

Block's vacated Wednesday 9 pm slot will be filled by Law & Order: Criminal Intent repeats starting next week.

Block's remaining episodes will be burned off at some point, a source told the trade.

Ironic name for its fate.

1. I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you.
And filling the space with Law and Order reruns? I never could have seen that coming.

3. The concept was flawed from the get-go
It tried to combine the structure of two different shows already in existence - Hell's Kitchen and Last Restaurant Standing(which I just LOVE!)

The competing teams is like Hell's Kitchen and the couples concept is from Last Restaurant, but putting them together makes no logical sense whatsoever. And both Ramsey and Blanc are far superior as the scary head judge.

(Did you know you can see just about every episode of Kitchen Nightmares on hulu.com?)
