I want to just make a bunch of salads |
that's what I usually do to go with whatever goes on the grill. Today it will be a cole slaw, a German potato salad and a pasta salad of some variety. Or maybe rice. I have an elk summer sausage with cranberries from the farmer's market that I'm thinking of incorporating. Where does your salad inspiration go on this one? I tried googling and there were some nice turkey stuffing recipes that would use the sausage that sounded lovely, but I need a salad idea here. I'm usually pretty creative on salads but I'm having trouble getting started.

1. We use all kinds of sausages |
in pasta salad. With some cucumber, green onion, bell pepper and dressed with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and whatever herbs are on the shelf that look good at the time. Then add a little parmesan when serving.

2. With that one, I'd do baby spinach, slivered, toasted almonds, and |
poppyseed dressing. Maybe some mandarin orange segments (since the oranges in the markets look like hell.) Balance the salty sausage with sweet and the chewiness of the sausage with crisp nuts and greens.
