I recently purchased a DVD combo drive for my PC. There is nothing wrong with the currently installed CD-RW. The new drive, however, supports both DVD and CD formats. Is there any compelling reason to keep the CD-RW drive along with the new combo drive? It would be easy enough to jumper them master and slave if it might actually be advantageous to have both installed. Thanks in advance for any advice.

1. Maybe to copy a CD to a backup CDR?... |

usually you can put the real CD in one drive and there will be a setting in the other drive's software to duplicate it.
