I have a couple of problems I'd be very grateful if anybody could help me with. |
|
The first is more pressing, the second more a matter of convenience.
I'm trying to get Skype up and running, but I'm having difficulty with my Skype test call. I can hear the woman's voice, but not my own reply. I get the text message "Skype cannot hear you. Input level is low." I plug a cheap, one-piece, phone kind of handset into a USB port. Also I'm not sure if all the tabs on the Audio and Voice volume controls are visible. It looks as if the last tab on the right may be off screen. If so - I can't drag the panel to the left - is there a way to centre it?
The other thing is that, when I open my "Google" opening screen on Internet Explorer, I have to maximize it. I'd like it to appear at the maximized setting automatically, if possible.

1. Skype: Did yu go to Control Panel/ Sounds and look there? ...also |
|
...you can set your screen resolution to see ALL the Mixer Controls.
On the IE Google thing: When you open IE and it's too small, place your cursor on the top of the page and "pull" it to the top. It should stay there from then on...

Answer #1: Quit using IE! Firefox is your friend.
Answer #2: F11 will force anything to open full size.

4. Thanks very much for your replies, too. I did download Firefox once, but had all sorts of |
|
problems. Can't remember them now though. It was almost certain to be down to computer illiteracy.
