Any way to recover data on USB flash drive? |

but that's because I'm stubborn.
However, it's a qualified yes. Did you write any new data to it after formatting? If not, you have excellent chance of recovering the data.
In fact, the truth is that it's hard to get RID of data!!
Go find the freeware program called "Disk Investigator" -- this won't actually help you much to recover the data, but it's an easy way to get a byte's view look at the disk to see if the data is still there. I've never used it on a USB/flash drive though, but I'm assuming it works the same.
I can recommend two programs I've used for data recovery: GetDataBack (there are 2 versions, one for FAT partitions, one for NTFS) and HandyRecovery. Both of these have recovered tons of files off of drives that had been through many formats/repartitions. It's amazing really. And a little scary.
