? for audiophiles (imitation -- sincere flattery)
Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 11:06 AM by kaitykaity
I have some .mp3's that have a lot of interference --
squelching sounds, background noise, et cetera.

Is there a product I can run them through that will
take all of the extraneous noise out and just leave
the voice audio I need?

I tried searching Google, but the words I come up with
for what I'm trying to do bring up other things that
have nothing to do with what I'm looking for.

Thanks.

2. Yes, exactly. Thank you.

"filtering" is the word. Absolutely.

3. if it's just clean vocal audio...
try running through a 'depopper' for taking the pops out of vinyl to digital transfers.

Basically, what they do is remove all signals from a preset range of frequencies. In the old days, we called that "notching".

This is the one I use, and it has a free 30 day full-function trial:

http://www.depopper.com

After the 30 days, the full-version is only $18, and it's every bit as effective as the $12,000.00 ProTools 24 bit system I have at work for the kind of thing you want to do.
