Outlook 2002 on XP - a question for Microsoft geeks |
|
First, thanks to the folks who responded to a question I posted a couple of weeks ago about installing a new hard drive. My system is up and running again thanks to you.
Now here's a new one! My new HD is now the primary boot drive and my former C:\ drive (with the hosed XP system and all my former program installs is now a secondary drive.
Here's the question: I need to install Outlook 2002 on the new C:\ drive and I need to salvage my outlook data archive from the secondary drive. Does anyone know where I can locate the archive, what its name is, and how I can get my new Outlook install to use it.
Contributers will accrue large good karma dividends!

Do a search on the old drive for *.pst Then read over the info at this link to get a good idea of what you need to do. Ignore the first part about opening up Outlook since that won't do you any good. If you need more help just give a holler. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;291636

3. Just what he said. Look for the *.pst file... |
|
..it should be in Documents and Settings --> (your login name) --> and do a search for *.pst. Back that up, replace it, and you should be good to go.
