A hardware question: What kind of hardware do servers for eBay and |
|
other "hugh" traffic sites use? I'm pretty PC-savvy and worked with minicomputers 30 years ago but I'm just wondering if there still are what we used to call 'mainframes' in use for applications like eBay and similar high volume places. Or do the just have a roomfull of RAID drives......? Just wondering... :D

I have been called to repair for a large provider. On the site I serviced, ton's of switches (CISCO), and raid redundancy. All servers were linux.
