my screen has taken on a green tint... |

i can't seem to change it back to nornmal....i have windows xp and tryed to set it back to a restore point of a couple of days ago...but it still comes out looking green...everything still seems to be working although the dates on my calender appear to be off by a couple of days...this happens reglarly...any ideas? monitor going out? or perhaps a new viri?

A bent pin or loose connection can cause this. If the plug seems straight and is tightened properly to the case examine the cble itself to ensure it isn't crimped or pinched anywhere. You might try reseating your video card, and if it is an AGP type card making certain the gadget that clips it down on one end is engaged.
If none of the above works you likely have a monitor going bad internally. It's generally not worth it to fix them, but be sure by connecting the monitor to a known good computer. If the problem still exists it's in the monitor itself.
