My daughter is at college and needs to password protect her computer. She uses Window XP Home. Is it possible to set up her computer so only she can use it?

Control Panel - User Accounts - Click on her account and she can make a PW from there.
Oh, BTW, make it a complex PW that she would only know, i.e. NO birthdates, Social, or names.

Its hard to remember a random selection of uppercase, lowercase and numbers, so here is a tip to make it easy. Come up with simple sentence, such as My Kelly dog was 15 years old. translate to the password MKdw15yo, random password you can remember

to do it in Windows. Set a password on bootup in BIOS and the only way around it is to physically take off the cover and set the Clear CMOS jumper-a little more difficult.
