1. There is a setting in Internet Options that might affect this..
if that's what you are using. Access internet options either thru the Tools menu or thru the control panel. In the center of the top tab, click on settings. You will see 4 different settings for page refreshing. See if any of them make a difference.

I'm not certain, but you may need to close IE and restart it to see the impact of the change.
