I just bought a USB 007 storage device |

I am running WIN98 and system found device but can not locate the driver. I looked all over and found one download that did not work. Is there any easy solution to finding a driver and installing it?

1. With a good deal more detail, we might be able to help. |

Usually when you buy a device, if a driver is needed, it's supplied with the device. When you download a driver, it comes in one of several sorts of packages, and what you do to install it depends on that packaging somewhat.
My usual approach to finding drivers is to get the specific product model and google that with "driver". If that doesn't work I try the manufacturers site. On very rare occasions, with obscure hardware, that will not work.

2. I found the device through Amazon a while back I think |
|
It came by itself from a company in Hong Kong. I can find it on several sites and some run a scan of my computor to look for drives that need updated. All sites so far have asked me to join for an annual fee before downloading can begin. I can not find the manufacturers site. It is a small purple pen like device with USB 007 writen on it. Serial numbers are on back. Is there a free site for driver downloads?

Thanks! Now to find out why my system can't find the driver after I have installed it.
