My monitor is all wavy-gravy
Becoming more frequent, my 19" monitor, at the bottom two inches, shows a recurring wavy pattern going through.

Sometimes the top 1/2" will do the same thing, but not as often.

Should I take the monitor in for repair? (I've a 3 year repair contract on it. Pity it's not a replacement contract.) Or wait for something more serious to happen as I haven't any spares?

Thanks!

1. Update - wobbliness happens only if
brightness is too high. I lowered it a couple of notches and all is well. Still, it's worthy of being sent in.

2. what kind of pattern?
Is it the colors or the geometry? (i.e. are "straight" lines wavy, or is a pattern imposed over the picture?) . Does it happen in all resolutions and refresh rates?

Has degauss or the Moire-correction any effect?.

3. I had a similar problem with my new computer
Then I realized how close it was to my TV and it only happened when it was on. I rearranged my electrical items and it was fine.

4. This may sound stupid but..
does your monitor's electrical cord 'plug' into it, as opposed to being hardwired into the chassis? (The end on the back of the monitor, not where it plugs into an outlet.) Sometimes they come a bit loose, but still get the signal and show a 'jumpy' image.
